Shooting with Malachi Banales was awesome! He is not only a great photographer, but an incredible person. Malachi and I have spoken for a few years about shooting. However, a while ago he was in a horrible car accident and they didn't think he was going to live. After a long recovery period, he still walks with a cane and has a hard time getting around. I just feel so lucky that he made the hike to this abandoned house I had scouted for us, and after all this time, we finally got to shoot. I think the images speak for themselves.

Something about your description of the person Malachi is, and seeing his image here as well...it kind of reminds me of how I imagine Jaime (awesomeness-wise).
